Haruno Yoshida - President & Representative Director BT Japan Corporation; Vice Chair of the Board of Councillors, Keidanren (Japan Business Federation); Member for Regulation Reforming Council
Haruno Yoshida was appointed as a President and Representative Director at BT Japan in January 2012. With hands-on extensive experience in working as a top salesman and a working mother in the male dominated communications industry for more than twenty years, Haruno has worked for five ICT companies – both western and Japanese – in four different countries. Therefore, she brings with her some unique experience and global perspective. In June 2015, Haruno was appointed as the First Female Vice Chairman of the Board of Councillors for Keidanren. In September 2016, Haruno was appointed as a member of the Council for Regulatory Reform – an advisory committee established within the Cabinet Office to advise on policy and social structural reforms from an economic perspective.
Taking a leading role to promote diversity and inclusion at the workplace, Haruno regularly advocates to increase productivity through the use of technology, and has attracted attention as a new role model for the working women in Japan. In 2017, she was named the only Japanese out of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune Magazine.
Larisa Miller - Chief Operating Officer and Head of Social Responsibility VELA Management
Larisa Miller attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States and studied Political Science and Hungarian. In her early career, Larisa worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, at the beginning she was an assistant to the director of the Animal Health and Diagnostic Commission, and later worked as the personal assistant to the Secretary of Agriculture. Ms. Miller went on working for the Governor of Pennsylvania in public policy.
For the last several years Larisa has been working as a Director of Public Relations and Stakeholder Engagement for Alliances for Global Sustainability, which focused on investments such as, renewable energy, food security, and waste management; and as director of the Circle of Hope Foundation, which focuses on making a sustainable impact on the youth in impoverished or challenged regions of the world. Currently, Ms. Miller serves as the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Social Responsibility for Vela Investments/Vela Management, based in their New York City, which specializes in sports and entertainment asset acquisition.

Dipankar is a seasoned sustainability professional, has over thirty years of multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral experience in the domains of environmental services, sustainability and human development, climate change, carbon markets, environment, health and safety (EHS), resource efficiency, sustainable technology and renewable energy. Dipankar has led large projects, in India as well as internationally, which consisted of multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
He has worked closely with diverse industry sectors, such as oil & gas, power utility, automotive, iron and steel, biofuel, transportation, construction, communication, etc., and also Government and Multilateral Funded Institutions. Previously, he was a Partner at EY, leading the Climate Change and Sustainability services of EY in Northern Region of India. He was also part of the advisory team responsible for developing the Climate Change & Sustainability Services in India. Later, he served as the Leader of EY’s sustainability services in the MENA region, strategizing the growth of the practice in the region.

As a member of the Global Advisory Council of WEConnect International, he actively encouraged and supported women entrepreneurs by connecting them to market opportunities. One of his most significant achievements was to bring 109 women’s business associations under ThinkBig, Asia’s largest women economic empowerment and women entrepreneurship platform.

Rayla Melchor Santos is Founder, McKinley Hill International School and Leadership Academy for Children in Batangas and Lipa City, Philippines (in partnership with the Calvert School of Maryland and Stephen R. Jingdong Hua - Vice President and Treasurer at International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group, Washington DC USA
Jingdong Hua is Vice President and Treasurer of IFC. He is responsible for managing IFC’s financial position, safeguarding its international triple-A rating and maintaining its standing as a premier issuer in the global capital markets. He oversees liquid assets, market borrowings, and risk-management instruments totaling over $100 billion.
Under Mr. Hua’s leadership, IFC focuses on capital market development in emerging markets, through pioneering transactions such as a first-of-its-kind global Indian rupee program that set a benchmark yield curve for the offshore rupee markets, and market-opening local currency bonds in Armenia, Costa Rica, China, Nigeria, Rwanda, and many other countries.
Mr. Hua is also responsible for IFC’s loan syndications and co-investment program, which has mobilized over $50 billion for private sector development. He oversaw the creation of the IFC Managed CoLending Portfolio Program – a landmark program that has mobilized significant funds from sovereign and institutional investors and established a potential model that development institutions could use to raise the trillions of dollars that will be needed each year to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Prior to joining IFC, Mr. Hua served as Deputy Treasurer at the Asian Development Bank in Manila. He previously held a number of positions in the treasury departments of ADB, the United Nations Development Program in New York, and the African Development Bank in Abidjan.
Mr. Hua, a Chinese national, started his career in 1983 with China National Chemical Construction Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Qingdao University of Science and Technology, an MBA Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University.

Katharina Miller holds a degree in business administration (2004) and in law (2006) from the University of Greifswald (Germany), she obtained a Master degree in European Law at the Universities of Luxembourg and Strasbourg (2007), she studied Leadership and Women at the Spanish Business School Aliter in Madrid (2015) and obtained the certificate “Strategic Skills for Women on Corporate Boards” at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (2016). She is a Corporate and Human Rights Lawyer with more than 15 years of professional experience that she has been gaining at the Court of Justice of the European Union and in different law firms within the European Union.
Katharina is founding partner of the law boutique 3C Compliance and of the shareholder activist initiative “Paridad en Acción”. She is member of Panel of Responsible Business of TELEFONICA, President of Board of Directors of the investment fund KOKORO and independent director of PANDA GMBH. She is Council member of the European Law Institute with domicile in Vienna and President of the European Women Lawyers Association with registered domicile in Brussels. she is currently working with a number of governments, think tanks and industry pioneer’s/thought leaders across the globe, building key strategic partnerships supporting the W20/G20 priorities such as Labor Market Inclusion, Financial Inclusion, Digital Inclusion, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPS).
